10-Hour Self-Defence Course – Weekly Breakdown
Class 1: Foundations of Self-Defence
• Introduction to situational awareness & risk avoidance
• Basic stance, footwork & movement for balance and safety
• Core striking: straight punches, palm strikes, elbows, and basic kicks
• Using your voice and presence as a deterrent
• Partner drills: reaction and distance control

• Escaping from common wrist, arm, and clothing grabs
• Defence against basic pushes and holds
• Blocking & redirecting strikes under pressure
• Principles of leverage and body mechanics for smaller defenders

• Introduction to takedown defence
